Alice's Playground Center is a wonderful place for infants through preschoolers. The center is a place for children to stay, play, and learn while parents are at work or in school. We believe in old fashioned teaching with a new style of learning. We also offer a safe, nurturing place for children who are in the care of the Department of Social Services. We are a center that teaches children that they are very special people in their own little fun, clean, safe, and loving environment.

The center offers  a educational and safe environment, Monday through Fridays,

6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. We are open for children of all races, creeds, or ethnic origins. The center has a 9.5 hours provider service policy for our children to be at the center. Throughout the day, we serve three nutritional meals a day: breakfast 8:15-8:45, hot lunches  11:15-12:15 and an afternoon snack, 2:30 p.m- 3:15 p.m. Our infants are fed on their own schedule and based on an every three hour feeding schedule. Meals served daily are regulated by the Child Nutrition Service and the State of North Carolina. 

The North Carolina Division of Child Development licensed the center at a "4 Star" rating. This scale is based on a 2-component study. The facility earned 4 points out of 7 points in Staff Education,6 points out of 7 points in Program Standards and a Quality Point of 1 out of 1; Total score 11 out of 15 points.

The center is licensed for 90 children age ranges birth to 12 years. We only except ages birth to 8 years of age.  We are daytime care only. We meet enhanced space and ratios, and we have three separate playgrounds to keep the age groups separated for outside playtime.  

The center follows the sanitation rules of the county Health Department, and the fire codes of the city Fire Department. We also follow the hand washing procedure when entering the center and throughout the day.
