Infant- Toddler Program ( Bright Babies, Baby Bunnies, Toddler Cubs,)
The Infant-Toddler Care Program offers tender loving care for ages three weeks to two years of age. Infants sleep when they want to and toddlers nap-time is always after lunch. When they are awake, the infant and toddler mind's are stimulated by music, singing, cuddle time, story time and cognitive play. Infants and toddlers learn social skills when staff members speak, sing and communicate to them about what is going on in their daycare enviroment. Learning time for the childern is all day long while they are in the care of the provider.
2's and Young 3 year Old Program (Wiggleworms and Tiny Turtles)
The older toddler program offers a continuous learning environment. This program, offered by the center, provides developmentally age-appropriate activities and experiences. This program teaches children to use their senses to construct knowledge about the world around them. The children get to explore educational toys and experiment with safe tools to learn how they work. The children are able to explore more independently throughout the day. They also learn to take toys back to the area of play. This also starts the "dumping out and walking away" stage, too. We teach our toddlers to play and have fun, but to clean-up, too. All educational activities are fun, take time and repetition on a daily basis in order for children to learn. During learning time, (which is all day), we enjoy teaching the children in a fun and safe way.
The Preschool Program (Ladybugs, Caterpillars- Ages 3 to 5-years )
This program recognizes that children are like sponges and are eager to learn. We teach them through hands-on experiences. We allow them to express knowledge gathered through their senses using play, art, languages, math and other forms of representation. The chidren are also taught how to play well with their friends and other play mates. The preschool program helps
children get ready for the next step in learning; "Kindergarten." We also teach them how to line up for different activities, wash their hands correctly, so that we can cut down on passing germs, we promote table manners, and respect for teacher's and other adults. We promote the use of hands on math-skills, writing skills and phonics for reading. We encourage all children to do their best and just to try new things. To explore their suroundings and have fun.
